Free Credit Report
You're entitled to one free report a year if you can prove that:
- You are unemployed and plan to look for a job with the next 60 days
- You have been denied credit, insurance or employment within the
last 60 days
- Your credit report is inaccurate because of fraud
- You are on welfare
If you don't meet any of these criteria, a credit bureau may charge
you up to $9.00 for a copy of your report.
There are three large national credit bureau agencies that supply most
credit reports. They are: Experian, Equifax, and Trans Union. You may
want to contact each of them for a copy of your report for cross reference.
